Peaceful, with beautiful Vistas.
Peaceful, with beautiful Vistas. The Staff was outstanding with smiles and open arms for any assistance we needed. Cooking class was fun, learning many new things none of us had known with our delightful chef who was patient and knowledgeable. Dinner at the restaurant was full of wonderful foods. The perfect place to explore wineries and take it down a few notches to relax and unwind.

I would imagine that, like me, most people go there to visit the famous Antinori wine estate, one of the most spectacular & lavish wine estates for visitors in Europe, and one of the few that are comparable with what you would find in California, South Africa or South America. There's not a great deal else here that I am aware of - it's basically a few small villages. Good location for visiting other neighbouring parts of Chianti though. And, as noted in my review elsewhere of the Albergo Bargino, its attached fish restaurant, the Trattoria del Pesce, is worth a visit in itself.

This town in the middle of Tuscany is breath taking.
This town in the middle of Tuscany is breath taking. In the middle of everywhere yet close to Florence making your return to the airport very convenient. The area is surrounded by wineries, restaurants, pizzerias and gelato shops making the panorama painteresque and unique to the area. Perfect starting point for biking too. Must visit.

The location of the town was perfect for us, as we came to have our own wine tour.
We had about a 30-40 minutes drive (tops) to each of our pins on the wine map we planned!
There are vineyards all around :)

The area was lovely, with villas and wineries everywhere.
The area was lovely, with villas and wineries everywhere. Did some of our own cooking, but also ate out.
A bus trip to Florence was worth doing.
Driving to villages/places worked well. Castellina, Radda and Volpaia our favourites.
Driving could be a little difficult on the narrow roads (for two cars to stay on the bitumen)... and buses.
We were given a bottle of wine from our winery stay, and saw the beginning of the grape harvest.

The hotel wrote me suggesting that I went by car, and it is a must, since there is no way of transportation and you are far from everything (to the point that I almost hit 2 boar in the small road that takes you form the main road to the property).
The breakfast is really good, and the gentleman working in the area is really nice and attentive.
The pool is just as you see in the pictures, with an amazing view, really cold (great in the Tuscany summer),
Well maintained.
Employees were very nice and polite.
Very nice Hosts. Perfect Location. We had a great time at a perfect location. The House and the Pool have just been perfect for us. In the House there is everything you need. After a week we did get clean sheets and towels. The Pool has always been taken care of. The Location is perfect to take short trips. In the town San Casciliano in Val di Pesa you find a supermarket and a lot of nice Restaurants.
This was Not our Last time in the tuscany and Not the last time at this Location
Location is amazing, stunning scenery, a lovely pool area and restaurant with a view. There is a small spa with lovely treatments and friendly staff. I had a deluxe room which was spacious and really well decorated, a decent sized bathroom and a large king bed. Very comfortable and relaxing hotel. The food at the restaurant is good quality and a reasonable choice if you’re staying for a few days.
Filippo is a very warm and welcoming host. We fell in love with the views of this beautiful estate. The place has everything you need in Tuscany, a place to sit outside and relax, a swimming pool, close to vineyards and cute little villages… Filippo will help you with recommendations for activities, restaurants… The room was big and the interior was very authentique.
Really lovely and comfortable place. The washer / dryer combo helped so much as we travelled in winter. It has all the cooking and washing utensils needed with local restaurants or Coop close by. We would stay again, especially to relax even by the pool. Convenient location as we used this as our base to visit Firenze and Siena and other local areas.
The location was wonderful, the Villa was amazing. The staff was very knowledgeable about the area and recommended things and restaurants for us, which turned out to be perfect. The breakfast was great too. Also, loved the honor system and drinks offered at the honor bar.
Great location, incredible staff and extremely welcoming. Lorenzo took the time to explain many things we asked; we particularly enjoyed the care and attention given to explaining wines and food! would strongly recommend as it is ideal to get to Florence and other areas.
The host is very friendly. He gives you tips on the best restaurants in the area. Also he gives you advice on the easiest way to get into the centre of Florence. The whole place is very clean and very well maintained. The views are incredible. Highly Recommended!
The location is amazing at the hotel. The views and space of the hotel grounds is really amazing for walks or hikes easily. Breakfast was also perfect in variety and offering. Room space and cleanliness was very sufficient as well.
Clean and well decorated apartment! Lovely host who greeted us upon arrival. Comfortable bed. Good shower and hair dryer. Sufficient sockets to charge mobiles. Close to Florence and lovely towns. Free city parking 10’ away.
As they are refurbishing the hotel, they offered us a villa which was big and very nice, clean and well decorated, and had a beautiful view! The breakfast was really good, and the location beautiful.
the nature and the atmosphere are both incredible because the villa is on the top of San Casciano’s hill.
A special thanks to the family that manage this hotel for their kindness.
Fantastic location and facilities. Nice room, quiet and very “off the beaten path”. The views are spectacular and the short ride to Florence was beautiful.
